COPYWRITER POSITION
Your parents thought you might have a future in medicine – maybe help cure cancer. But no, you wanted to “express yourself with the written word.” That’s right – you became a copywriter.
Here’s your chance to make everyone happy.
Pharmaceutical and biotech companies around the world are working to develop new medications and medical devices. To do this, potential new treatments must be studied to learn if they’re safe and effective. That’s where we come in.
We’re qd Solutions, a growing, 10+ year-old ad agency based in Austin, TX. Our exclusive focus is in the creation of advertising campaigns that help find and recruit patients into medical research studies.
We develop ad campaigns for a broad range of conditions and diseases, including cancer, asthma, heart disease, and diabetes, just to name a few. Our print, collateral, and electronic media creative is utilized worldwide by pharmaceutical, biotech and drug research companies.
Currently, we’re looking for a copywriter to join our agency.
In this position you will:
- Write copy that empathizes with and motivates the patient population
- Write copy that educates and motivates medical personnel who have an interest in the study
- Research and understand technical documents that outline diseases and clinical trial procedures
- Proof and edit all creative copy
- Have fun making a difference in the future of medicine
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-3 years copywriting experience for both media-based materials (TV, radio, print, web) as well as collateral materials (i.e. posters, brochures, training videos, etc.)
- 1-2 years of creative concepting experience
- Strong writing/editing skills
- Strong proofreading skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry is a plus
In addition, candidates should be:
- Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while managing tight deadlines
- Willing to work as a team player with other team members
- Able to work independently
- A self-starter
Agency experience preferred.
Compensation:
$45K - $50K, dependent upon experience.

In addition to paid vacation and sick time, employee benefits package includes 100% qd Solutions-paid PPO medical and dental insurance.

PROJECT MANAGER POSITION

We’re qd Solutions, a growing, 10+ year-old ad agency based in Austin, TX. Our exclusive focus is in the creation of advertising campaigns that help find and recruit patients into medical research studies.

In this position, you will:
- Work with senior project management to strategize, plan and manage specific ad campaigns for a variety of clients
- Work with the agency’s creative team to help develop strong ad messages
- Research and develop an understanding for a variety of medical conditions
- Help develop and manage project budgets
- Manage relationships with supporting vendors
- Manage campaign fulfillment as required by specific projects
- Help generate new business opportunities for the agency
- Have fun making a difference in the future of medicine
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-3 years account management/project management experience for both media-based materials (TV, radio, print, web) as well as collateral materials (i.e. posters, brochures, training videos, etc.)
- An interest in the healthcare industry
- The ability to build relationships with clients in different countries
- Strong writing/editing skills
- Strong proofreading skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project knowledge
- Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industries is a plus
In addition, candidates should be:
- Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while managing tight deadlines
- Willing to work as a team player with other creative team members
- Able to work independently
- A self-starter
Agency experience preferred.
Compensation:
$45K - $50K, dependent upon experience.
